How to Pixelate a Photo Online
Pixelating a photo can hide a specific detail or give the complete image a blocky mosaic style. The process takes only a few choices: what to cover, how large the blocks should be, and which file format to download.

Step 1: decide what needs to change
Choose Entire Image for a consistent artistic effect. Choose Selected Areas when you want to hide a face, license plate, username, address, or another small part without changing the rest of the photo.
Use rectangles for straight-edged regions and the brush for irregular shapes. You can add more than one selected area when private details appear in different places.
Step 2: preview before you download
Move the pixel-size control gradually. For privacy, keep increasing it until the identifying detail is no longer recognizable; for a creative effect, stop when you reach the balance of shape and abstraction you prefer.
Compare the original and edited views, then inspect the downloaded file at full size. Save the export as a new file so you retain the unedited original for future use.

- Use stronger pixelation for text than for a decorative effect.
